Private Rental

STEPS TO HELP RENTERS

Through the Affordable Housing Action Plan the ACT Government is working to increase the supply and range of rental properties throguh encouraging institutional investors to undertake developments that incorporate 200-400 private dwellings, with a view to the potential of shared equity for eligible tenants.

The ACT Government is also working with the Commonwealth to assist with the implentation of the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) which provides incentives for developers to create new affordable rental options. For more information on NRAS, visit: http://www.fahcsia.gov.au/sa/housing/progserv/affordability/nras/Pages/default/aspx
