Affordable Housing Awards

To encourage excellence in affordable housing design and construction, the ACT Government through the Affordable Housing Action Plan introduced an annual Excellence in Housing Affordability Award.

In response to this initiative, there have been a number of Awards already presented as part of the HIA / RAIA Affordable Housing Design Competition, and also the MBA Chief Minister’s Special Affordable Housing Award.

LDA/HIA Display Village in Harrison

Building Information Centre

Address: 241 Northbourne Avenue, Lyneham.

The Building Information Centre offers a showcase of more than 140 displays of the latest building products and services.  Free advisory services and open days are also available to provide information and ideas for building your home.

Home Ideas Centre

Address: 28 Collie Street, Fyshwick.

The Centre features over 1500 square metres of displays for consumers wanting to find out the latest in kitchens, bathrooms, home theatre installations, green design, and building and renovation.

Open 7 days: Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, Saturday from 10am to 4pm, and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
